My dolphin painting from yesterday.

This was fun. I sketched it first, straight onto the canvas paper (tesco's brand). Then I used the masking fluid. I found it a pleasure to work with. It was the first time I have ever used masking fluid. It sticks to the brush but really fun and I like the effect and its good for doing backgrounds. Cleaning the brushes afterwards is a bit hard but I managed.

The canvas paper was really cool and very fun to paint on real canvas. A nice thing about canvas is that it does not crumple, or tear and it does not absorb water like paper.

I think my picture looks ok.

ART: Dolphins

My dad saw two dolphins in the bay last week and on an other day a dolphin jumped right over the rib he was driving in the bay.

So I decided to draw and paint a dolphin for art.

I have this awesome book by Rebecca Balchin on Unicorns and she decribes how to use masking fluid very well. We got some masking fluid a while back so we decided that its time to try it out.

I also had a look at these links to learn a bit more about masking fluid.

I used my little sisters reading book LOL as it had some nice dolphin pictures in it (Dipper to the Rescue).
