Homeschooling on a boat in the Mediterranean

I very recently heard about 12 year old twins who are home-schooling aboard a boat in the Mediterranean.

I head about them from a group of people who were visiting the island we live on.

They are all part of a visiting project http://www.capefarewell.com/
They are busy doing a 2011 Scottish Islands Expedition.

Cape Farewell has brought together leading artistswritersscientists, educators and media for a series ofexpeditions to hot spots of climate change. Together they have mapped, measured and been inspired by this awesome environment and have endeavoured to bring home stories and artworksthat tell how a warming planet is impacting on the wilderness and us.

It was really interesting and we also met Jo Royle who is a skipper and was on the Plastiki.

PE: Exercise and Fitness Program

We are looking at the importance of an exercise and fitness program that works each part of the whole body in a holistic way.

Currently we do the following each month;
  • cycling                (weekly)
  • highland dancing (2x weekly)
  • yoga                   (weekly)
  • horse riding         (daily)
  • ball skills             (weekly)
  • running / jogging (weekly)
  • stretching           (daily)
  • Exercise Ball      (weekly)
  • Swimming          (weekly)
We want to also start doing the following:
  • Skipping  (Weekly)
  • Gym - walker, cycling machine, rowing machine, weights (weekly)
  • Aerobics (weekly)
  • Torso Trainer (weekly)
We recently bought a Body Sculpture Torso Trainer and decided to use it for PE today.  There is a gale blowing outside so we need to do something inside.

A Torso Trainer looks like this:

A Torso Trainer is supposed to firm and tone your stomach and exercise your arms and legs.

One of the main exercise equipment in any gym would be the torso trainer.

The lower torso of the person exercising is fixed to the platform while the upper torso is used by the user who wants to employ his waistline muscles to develop a slim waistline.

Once the rotating shaft is diverted to different angles, the different muscles are employed that means the entire set of waistline muscles gets some exercise.

Body Sculpture Torso TrainerThe amount of pressure that the user has to apply varies on the different tilt angles of the shaft. This kind of a work out ensures a flat stomach, a thin waistline and the muscles around the waist are tightened due to this exercise thus making it look firm.

The Body Sculpture torso trainer is one such exercising equipment that is absolutely compact and slim. It weighs about 2.5 kilograms when packed. This product comes with several features that make the Body Sculpture Torso Trainer ideal for home use and you can set up a gym at home.

It is an easy to use ab toner that can tone your abs perfectly. It is very smooth and easy to handle. Thus you can enjoy some perfect and toned abdominal muscles after working out on it.
