Maths - Looking at measurement

As I am doing the chapter on metric unit, I decided to look at the Blue whale is a perfect example of size...





DID YOU KNOW?

An adult whale weights approx. 190 metric tonnes
Newborn approx 2700kg.
Adult Length:  33.6m      
Newborn: 7m
Adult tongue:  2.7 metric tonnes
Adult Diet:  3600kg / 40 million krill per day
Newborn Diet:  400 litres of milk per day
Lifespan:  80 years
Gestation:  10-12 months
Group:  Pod
