Biology - Adaptations (Sharks & Horses)

Sharks have several adaptations that make them apex predators:

Teeth - sharp as a serrated blade to allow it to puncture and tear prey (Seals, turtles, fish, birds).  The design has a deep cavity surrounded by smaller teeth and two bigger teeth on each side enabling ripping shredding and grinding.  Teeth are also replaced throughout its lifetime due to wearing down or loss.

Eyes - They also have large eyes that are able to adjust rapidly to low light when perusing its prey.

Smell - They have an sensitive sense of smell.

Receptors - Lateral line receptors (Series of fluid filled cells containing hair like receptors) extend along the sides of the head and body, sense vibrations, change in pressure, movement and sound.
