Wednesdays: Fiddle and Dancing

Wednesdays is always my fiddle and dancing lesson.  I have been doing fiddle for about 2 and a half years now and I have a great fiddle teacher.  I probably need to practice more but unlike all the other kids here, I never even saw a fiddle until I got here about 2.5 years.  I have done quite a few tunes now and I will make a list of them.  I have also learn to read fiddle music and am working with a metronome (sp?).  It measures beat and rythym.

At the moment I do highland dancing and have a really nice teacher who is great.  We might be going to dance in Paris later this year if everything works out.  I have only been doing Highland dancing since we got here about 2.5 years ago.  I have learnt a few dances like the Highland Fling, the Swords, Sean Trews, pa de bas,  hicuts and have a few of my dancing certificates already.  Before this, when we lived overseas I did ballet from when I was 3 years old and I also learnt some Jazz dancing.

I have just started another blog to chat about dancing - I will be adding to it regularly and its just started,....you can read it here  http://thereeljig.blogspot.com/
